A perfectly illuminated room, without visible light sources. That’s the new standard in architectural lighting and it starts with Illuxtron’s Pointer series. The series consists of three fixtures: Pointer 40 and Pointer 68 comes in a fixed and adjustable design. The Pointer series is available for concrete or as a wire spring.
Invisible lighting and minimalist design
The fixtures have a special lens that collimates the bundle into an hourglass shape. The fixture’s opening is precisely at the node of the hourglass. As a result, it is still possible to produce 350 or 650 lumens through a light aperture of just 8 mm. This creates an almost invisible lighting experience that offers a way of presenting a room that is different from anything that came before. The minimalist design focuses attention on the room being illuminated instead of the brilliant points of light.
No glare
UGR stands for Unified Glare Rating, a figure that shows how much the fixtures and their spatial effects create light nuisance at eye height from the user’s viewing direction. The lower the value is, the less glare the user experiences. In the Pointer series, the UGR value varies between 5.7 and 18.0, depending on the beam angle – a figure that is extremely low.
